ENERGYNEST has finalised the installation of their thermal battery at Avery Dennison’s plant in Belgium, which will allow Avery Dennison to wean itself off natural gas usage by using a battery that charges on excess renewable electricity (solar), and discharges it back into their industrial processes as green heat or steam.
For industries to cost-effectively decarbonize industrial heat, they have to end their dependence on gas and start electrifying their processes with efficient thermal energy storage.
